Chocolate for breakfast! These biscuits from How Sweet It Is, sprinkled with powdered sugar, taste a lot like chocolate cookies with a fluffy, buttermilk biscuity texture.
I made them into drop biscuits because I didn’t have a biscuit cutter, so mine don’t look nearly as pretty, but they were tasty, especially covered in delicious blackberry jelly.
I wanted to make the brown sugar cinnamon butter so badly seeing as brown sugar and cinnamon are pretty much the best two flavors on the face of the planet, but I figured the biscuits already had enough butter in them that I should top them with something a little less fatty. I swear I will eat brown sugar cinnamon butter on something for breakfast though, if it is the last thing I do. It sounds amazing!
