Cool Ranch Doritos Chicken Fingers

This isn’t really a new meal (see our Doritos crusted chicken fingers from before), but this time around we used Cool Ranch Doritos instead of the Nacho Cheese version. They were just as delicious as we remembered, and by far some of the best baked chicken we’ve ever tasted.

This time we also soaked our chicken in real buttermilk for a couple of hours before baking. I know that milk and vinegar is supposed to be a good substitute, but I just don’t really believe it. We dipped our chicken fingers in Trader Joe’s low-fat parmesan ranch dip, just in case the Cool Ranch Doritos encasing the chicken didn’t have enough flavor.

I honestly can’t decide which version is better. All I know is that this is the way to eat baked chicken!
