Rosemary and Roasted Garlic Burgers with Artichoke Hearts and Tomato

Lately we've been running out fresh ideas for one of our favorite foods, burgers. We are trying really hard not to repeat menu items, but we have been finding it somewhat difficult. However, this burger was randomly born from Dustin's imagination recently. Once he mentioned adding artichokes, I was on board with this meal. The flavor combination was spot on delicious.

We heated up the grill despite temperatures in the 30s, and grilled some Kobe beef burgers. But these weren't just plain beef patties. We threw in some roasted garlic and fresh rosemary to spice them up, and gave the burgers a healthy does of salt and pepper to form a nice crust.

Just before the burgers were cooked to medium, we added some creamy Havarti cheese to make them into cheeseburgers. The Havarti melted really nicely like on the perfect burgers you order at restaurants.

Finally our patties were topped with freshly roasted artichoke hearts (using this technique) and sliced roma tomatoes. Of course we served the patties on slightly sweet brioche rolls.
