Fried Matzo Balls with Horseradish Sour Cream
Here's a different kind of fried matzo for ya.
Make your favorite matzo balls (here's the one we used for matzo ball soup). Heat up some canola oil to 350º and drop in the matzo balls until they are crispy and golden brown.
Make a dipping sauce of sour cream, horseradish, lemon juice, and freshly ground salt and pepper. Don't measure the ingredients; just taste as you go along. Everyone has a different idea of what tastes good when it comes to horseradish.
We served the matzo balls with a side of spinach salad covered in cranberry, gorgonzola, walnut dressing from Trader Joe's that I wish came on all salads because then I'd be much more likely to order salads.
